The activities of this organization are governed by the rules and regulations of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and its Student Activities and Registered Student Organization Office. The PA Society was initially created on September 17, 1998, and re-established in February 2004..The mission of the PA Society is to encourage, recognize, and promote the personal and professional development of those students who have expressed an interest in becoming reputable healthcare providers. The essence of the consortium is to provide academic support and professional insight by fostering growth in each member while upholding the highest standards of ethics in the medical field. Furthermore, the organization will serve to promote awareness of the Physician Assistant (PA) profession as a viable career choice, to provide each member with a thorough understanding of the role of the PA profession, and to support each member throughout the PA school application process.
